Here are the basic natural ways to grow hair thicker and healthy:
Use Olive Oil
Olive oil helps your hair grow
in volume. It imparts a soft and strong texture to your hair. Heat the olive oil just to make it slightly warm. Now massage your hair, mainly your scalp with it. Allow the oil to get absorbed in your hair for at least half an hour. Now get your hair rinsed in a thorough manner. You can wash your hair using a gentle shampoo. You might consider leaving the oil on your hair overnight followed by shampooing your hair the next morning.
Go for Avocado
Avocado thickens your hair body by hydrating it. This fruit contains vitamin E that enhances the health of your hair. You can prepare a mixture with a single mashed avocado, a mashed banana and a tablespoon of olive oil. Get it massaged on your scalp. Leave it for half an hour so that the nutrients are absorbed by your hair. Rinse and use a mild shampoo to wash your hair. You can use this avocado hair mask once every week.
Say yes to eggs
Eggs impart the proper amount of protein required by your rough and thin hair. Eggs are the best option if you want to go for a hardcore protein treatment for your damaged hair. Take a single or a couple of eggs as per your hair length. Apply the raw beaten egg on wet hair, letting it sit for 30 minutes. Use lukewarm water to rinse your hair followed by shampooing. This protein treatment is ideally done once or twice a week. You can also mix one egg yolk, one tablespoon of a hair oil and a couple of tablespoons of water.
Embrace a Healthy Diet
Lessen the proportion of junk food and increase the amount of green leafy vegetables, fruits, protein-rich food such as fish, eggs, cereals, soya beans in your diet. Fresh ground flaxseeds can make your hair gain the lacking luster and vigor. Flaxseed oil can also serve your purpose.
Say hi to Castor Oil
Use castor oil to massaging your scalp regularly. It coats the hair effectively, protecting your hair from shedding. This is attributed by the fact that the oil is highly viscous and contains vitamin E that contributes to hair growth as well. Heat a mixture castor oil and coconut oil, both in equal proportions. Massage your scalp with it in circular motions. Gently comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb so that the mixture is evenly distributed. This also removes tangles. Now, cover your hair with a towel that is moistened with warm water. Allow this setting for one hour. Shampoo your hair. You can follow this routine once every week.
Use aloe vera
Aloe vera has a unique moisturizing quality that makes the hair body shiny and thick. It even helps to restore the pH balance of the scalp. You can extract the gel from a couple of aloe vera leaves and rub it onto your scalp. Let it settle down for half an hour. Now rinse your hair with lukewarm water. Follow this routine once or twice a week daily. You can also mix two teaspoons of coconut milk with aloe vera gel and apply it to your scalp. In this case too, leave it on for 30 minutes followed by rinsing it off and shampooing your hair. You can repeat this routine once or twice a week. Also, you can drink one tablespoon of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach. This healthy habit significantly improves the health of your hair.
Get into the habit of applying henna
Henna leaves are known to impart a rich natural color to your hair making it plush, softer and more immune to breakage or shedding. Make a paste by mixing a little water with a handful of fresh henna leaves by grinding. Allow the paste to sit for a couple of hours before applying it to your hair. Use a shower cap to cover your hair. After 2-3 hours, wash your hair thoroughly with a gentle shampoo. Also, you can mix some amount of water in henna powder to make a paste. You can use green tea instead of water for better conditioning results. Keep the paste overnight. Add one raw egg and two teaspoons of lemon juice to this mixture the following morning. Apply it to your hair and allow it to settle until it dries completely. Then, wash it off with a proper shampoo. Always wear gloves while using henna. Apply the paste using a hair brush to avoid staining of your hands.
Make use of Flaxseed
Flaxseed is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and protein. This makes it capable of providing your hair with a thicker texture. Get one-quarter cup of flaxseeds and soak it in water overnight. Boil the flaxseeds in two cups of water the next morning. Make sure to use high heat while stirring occasionally. When you get a foamy jelly, turn off the heat and strain the gel. You might also add a few drops of an essential oil to it. Let it cool before using it as a hair gel. This routine is specifically effective for curly or wavy hair types. You can even eat freshly ground flaxseeds or flaxseed oil to obtain shiny and thicker hair.
